Course Title: The French Revolution (Finish@UT)
Course Full Description: This course will examine the history and significance of the French Revolution, beginning with pre-Revolutionary France and Europe and an examination of their political and social structures and cultures. The course then examines the dynamics of the Revolution from “merely” an anti-monarchical rebellion into an attempt at universal social transformation, culminating in the rise of Napoleon Bonaparte . Because of its scale and vision, the Revolution becomes the template for revolutions around the world and for centuries to come.
